Laziness prevails
or: why reinvent the wheel?
This is the first publication done with WordPress. Even though I have recently begun programming web applications with Ruby on Rails, in which creating a full-blown webtwodotoh’ed blod site is a piece of cake, I felt I couldn’t be bothered to do more coding when it’s already been done. Thus, I now have everything a blogger needs: nice permalinks through URL rewriting, comment function, category tags, the option to post blog entries via XMLRPC … bla bla bla.
What’s behind that? Well, it seems my moral fortification against the true need of personal blogs has finally been devastated … completely. The amount of blog posters in my social environment has increased drastically. We’ll see where that ends. In the meantime, I try to come up with a better term than “blog” – as it is too much Web2.0 for me to take.
