The End of the World: Revisited
I was going to write a somewhat witty and of course socio-critical comment on the recent 9/11 jubilee. Hey, wait : 9/11 – November 9th? But alas, if the date-format was the only thing that is terribly wrong with America, this world wouldn’t be such a fucked up place. Anyway, as my introductory phrase suggested, this is no rant about a certain crash-incident that reshaped international politics in its wake (I might save that for later) but something I stumbled upon instead. Or better: was stumbled upon by my home-boy via del.ico.us:
This totally shocked me! While I am not too much concerned about the propel-the-earth thing, it more seems that my own theory about wind farms has now been rebuked. I used to believe that the wind mills were installed to bolster the local tourism. Why is that – and how can that be? Fear not, this question can easily be answered. One can spot many wind mills in Northern Germany close to the Baltic and North Sea, yes? Health resorts emphasize that the sea-breeze is refreshing and healthy to some extent, drawing tourists’ attention with it. Now, in school, we were led to believe that wind mills make use of the breeze that blows at the sea shores. I say: it’s all lies! What if the wind mills generate the wind, making it all windy up here? Think about it!
